Good thing yesterday was great weather as today is rather wet – mind you we need it here in the hills in Victoria.
Yesterday, we joined with Rotary Club of Hawthorn and the Rotary Club of Wandin as well as our Assistant District Governor and a local medico to pack 3 containers that we’ve had stored away for a few years. Long-term member, Wayne, instructed us all as to what had to go where – after we’d unloaded everything first.
There was medical equipment (beds, wheelchairs, and other things) to go in one which will go to Cambodia, there were books, school equipment, linen and furniture to go in the other two for other locations. Peter Cole from Spirit of Sharing(also a Rotary member) was there as he’s instrumental in getting containers to Fiji.
It was a good day and we were grateful for the 20 people who turned up to make the load a lighter one for us.
